Rev’d Sue Auckland

My husband, Peter, and I have lived in Scole since 1976; our two children were pupils at the school in the 1980’s. I was a high school science teacher for 31 years, first in North Lincolnshire and then Norwich, after marrying Peter. As well as being an experienced classroom practitioner, my responsibilities also included the role of Head of Year followed by the post of Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion.

A member of the local church since 1983, I was licensed as a lay minister in 2003. A call to ordained ministry followed and I was ordained in 2012. Since then I have served the seven churches of the Redenhall and Scole Benefice as Associate Priest and have special responsibility for Scole. As a minister I work closely with the school in matters relating to assemblies, school services and RE.

I enjoy spending time with my family, two lively canine friends, photography, paper crafting and quilting in her spare time. I have been a Foundation Governor at Scole school for over 10 years and thoroughly enjoy the role. It is a great privilege to be part of the school community of such a caring and inspirational school and to have the opportunity to work for and with such lovely children.
