‘The bakery windows of Chouxville were piled high with delicacies such as Maidens’ Dreams, Fairies’ Cradles, and, most famous of all, Hopes-of-Heaven.’
The above sentence is from The Ickabog, a new book being released, by J. K. Rowling, online.
One of the Home Learning activities was to create a fancy bake that could replicate some of the bakery items that are described in the story.
Rhys in year 3 made his own Maiden’s Dreams using a variety of ingredients that he decided by himself. Personally, I think they came out fantastically!
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try any!
Really good work Rhys and I’m glad you are enjoying the Ickabog.
If you would like to read The Ickabog yourself you can access it by following this link The Ickabog. I believe it gets published in November and you can also enter a competition to get your illustrations into the story!
