With the temperature rising this week, Class Four have been using it as an opportunity to get outside, spend some time in nature and use natural resources to explore a variety of subjects, including Maths and English.

We have been making mathematical equations using sticks, leaves and other natural resources. We have also been hunting for other natural resources and using them to create British landmarks and pictures of ourselves!

If you’d like to attempt the mathematical equation activity in your own gardens then follow this link: Natural Equations Activity.

We have also done a spelling treasure hunt around the school field/playground. We had to think about which sentence the spelling went into and also which spelling was correct!

Finally, we mapped the school field/playground from the perspective of an animal. We thought about the barriers and the ‘treasures’ for our animals. We discussed why they were treasures/barriers.
