In our guided reading we have been looking at the Roald Dahl book Fantastic Mr. Fox. For one of our sessions the children were tasked with imagining that they were a character from the book.
One of the tasks was for the children to role play as Farmer Bean who is renowned for just drinking cider which causes him to be terribly thin.
Another character the children were asked to represent was Mr. Fox. It was up to the children how they showed his character traits but it was interesting to see how the children saw him as being proud but also vain, with many of the children pretending to preen themselves.
