This week has been rather special in the Reflection shed. All the activities have been based around Christmas: Thinking about the homeless, reflecting on the gifts brought by the Wise men and shepherds, pondering on our hopes and dreams for the future and thinking about the people who guide us.
Every child has spent time in the reflection shed with an adult and chosen which activities they would like to do. Some have sat in a cardboard box on the playground and thought about how hard it must be to be homeless, especially at Christmas time. Others have thought about the gifts that money cannot buy that they would like to give their families and friends. There were seven different activities in all and the discussion and reflection that has occurred has been wonderful.
As always I have kept some of the children’s work in a special folder. I hope the photos below show you just how much the children are gaining from their time in the shed.
