Dear Parents,

As you may have heard, the Government have launched The Oak National Academy to support teachers and families with online learning for our pupils. The teachers at Scole Primary will be using this resource to support the planning that they have already established, where appropriate. Please be guided by your child’s teacher in the learning activities that you do at home to ensure that they make progress in line with the school’s curriculum.

I have included a link to the Oak National Academy below so you can explore it if you would like to. If you have questions please email office@scole.norfolk.sch.uk and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Monday 11th May

Good morning Class Three,

I hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and enjoyed the weather.

Your new home learning packs will be ready for you on Wednesday 13th May, I hope you are looking forward to them.

Thank you for sending in your letters for the Post Horn, I have really enjoyed reading them. Please keep sending them in!

I have put a couple of links to websites below which you may find useful over the next couple of weeks.

Spelling Training – You can in put the spellings, that have been set, and use the website to create spelling practice lists, tests and word games.

National Geographic Kids – Variety of facts, quizzes and activities. Is a very useful website for this week’s home learning pack.

British Museum – Created an interactive learning tool to allow you to visually explore history across the five continents through its artefacts; Asia, Africa, Americas, Europe and Oceania which goes from modern day all the way back to 2000 BC.

Dear Class Three,

I hope everyone is well and that you have all enjoyed your Easter break.  It has been very strange not waking up, coming into school and putting my music on.  However, I have been keeping busy and the sun shining has definitely helped.

I hope you are being good, helping your family and keeping your bedroom tidy.  I went into school on Monday and it was very quiet, it was odd not having children trying to scare me whilst I eat my lunch or running around the track.  I did manage to catch up on a few bits and pieces and put together your home learning pack.

Your new learning packs are all ready to be collected tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd April) and we have included a mixture of activities for you to choose. Please make sure you do some reading every day as well as the activities on the grid and the sheets in your pack. I’m sure you have read all of your school books by now and probably lots of your own books!

There is also a list of lots of useful websites that your parents can help you explore below.

I’ve spoken to most of you and your parents on the telephone and I know you are all doing your school work and having lots of fun too, which is fantastic!

Don’t forget to do lots of reading!!!

Stay safe!

Best wishes,

Mr Silcocks and Mrs Dunning 🙂
