PE Home Learning Update 29.6.20

Hello everyone

You will have now received your new PE Home Learning Packs which are full of a mixture of activities to do, but also have a new Exercise log for you to record your activity levels for a week and a design a football strip, to celebrate the return of football!

With the summer holidays fast approaching, I am aware that we haven’t been able to talk to you all, either during swimming sessions or at school, about knowing how you can enjoy the water and stay safe. Whether by sea, river or lake, the skills involved in keeping safe whilst swimming outdoors are very different to those of an indoor pool, where most swimming lessons take place, so I have included two “Spot the Dangers” sheets with answers. Please take some time to look at them with an adult and talk about how to keep safe if you are near water or enjoying the beach over the summer.

This is the last PE Home Learning pack before the summer holidays so I have also included a blank August Activity tracker sheet which I hope you will fill in with activities over the summer.

You can access my new letter and the blank August Activity Tracker information here –

Blank August Activity tracker – August 2020 – Blank activity sheet

I hope you all have a great, active summer holidays and keep safe. I will look forward to seeing you all in September.

Remember to give me a wave if you see me walking around the village!

Take care & keep active everyone.

Monday 1st June 2020

Dear Class 3

I hope you had a fantastic half-term and enjoyed the sun as much as I did. Today we have welcomed some children back into the school and it is nice to see some familiar faces but still strange not having you all back at school. I have put a new pack together for you to collect. The pack has changed slightly as within the pack there is now a daily English and Maths lesson, which need to be completed. There are teaching notes and resources to go with these lessons, to help support you and your adult.

Try to group your work together, so for Maths you will find the following:

  • Maths Worksheets (one/two for each day labelled)
  • Maths Teaching Notes
  • Maths Answer Sheets

Try to keep these together as they will all correspond with each other.

For English you will find:

  • English Worksheets (2 packs labelled for the week and days they should be used)
  • English Teaching Guide

Again, try to keep these together.

For the activity grids there are separate sheets that are for the activities on there. Please don’t feel you have to do these everyday just concentrate on English and Maths each day and then see if you can complete one of the activities in the afternoon. If you have any questions please email office@scole.norfolk.sch.uk and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Dear Parents,

As you may have heard, the Government have launched The Oak National Academy to support teachers and families with online learning for our pupils. The teachers at Scole Primary will be using this resource to support the planning that they have already established, where appropriate. Please be guided by your child’s teacher in the learning activities that you do at home to ensure that they make progress in line with the school’s curriculum.

I have included a link to the Oak National Academy below so you can explore it if you would like to. If you have questions please email office@scole.norfolk.sch.uk and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Dear Class Three,

I hope everyone is well and that you have all enjoyed your Easter break.  It has been very strange not waking up, coming into school and putting my music on.  However, I have been keeping busy and the sun shining has definitely helped.

I hope you are being good, helping your family and keeping your bedroom tidy.  I went into school on Monday and it was very quiet, it was odd not having children trying to scare me whilst I eat my lunch or running around the track.  I did manage to catch up on a few bits and pieces and put together your home learning pack.

Your new learning packs are all ready to be collected tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd April) and we have included a mixture of activities for you to choose. Please make sure you do some reading every day as well as the activities on the grid and the sheets in your pack. I’m sure you have read all of your school books by now and probably lots of your own books!

There is also a list of lots of useful websites that your parents can help you explore below.

I’ve spoken to most of you and your parents on the telephone and I know you are all doing your school work and having lots of fun too, which is fantastic!

Don’t forget to do lots of reading!!!

Stay safe!

Best wishes,

Mr Silcocks and Mrs Dunning 🙂
