Thursday 21st May

Hello Everyone,

I’m sure you’ve all enjoyed the lovely weather over the last few days, fingers crossed it doesn’t rain too much today so you will be able to get outside for some fresh air and exercise.

I know lots of you have been making rainbows in many creative ways so I thought I would add a few more ideas for you to try over the next couple of weeks.

You could fit in these creative activities in between doing your daily maths and English tasks if your grown-ups say that’s OK.

Click here to see the different activity ideas – Rainbow Activities

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Tisbury x

Hello Class Two,

I hope you’ve had a chance to watch the little film (on the home page) the adults at school have made for you all to enjoy!

I’ve loved looking at the art work that some children have sent in for Mrs Buck to put in the Lockdown Gallery, the look fantastic! If you haven’t already sent anything please do because I would love to see some more. Also, please make sure you email one of your diary entries or a piece of writing about your lockdown thoughts and experiences to the office this week.

Year 2 – Ben Gets Lost

Dear Parents,

As you may have heard, the Government have launched the Oak National Academy to support teachers and families with on-line learning for our pupils. The teachers at Scole Primary will be using this resource to support the planning that they have already established, where appropriate. Mrs Vosper has asked if you would ‘Please be guided by your child’s teacher in the learning activities that you do at home to ensure that they make progress in line with the school’s curriculum.’

I haven’t included any lessons from the Oak Academy at this time as I feel that I have given the children plenty of resources to use for the next few weeks. It may be something I refer to in the future if the lock-down continues, but I have added the link below if you would like to explore the website. If you have any questions or queries about the work/activities etc please email the school office and I will do my best to get back to you.

Thank you,

Mrs Tisbury

Hello Class Two,

I hope you all had a great Easter holiday and have been enjoying the lovely weather. Mrs Smith and I are really missing you all, but we have been busy thinking of lots of activities that you can be doing while you are at home.

Your new learning packs are all ready to be collected tomorrow (Wednesday 22nd April) and we have included a mixture of activities for you to choose. Please make sure you do some reading every day as well as the activities on the grid and the sheets in your pack. I’m sure you have read all of your school books by now and probably lots of your own books! If you would like to read some books online you can go onto the Oxford Owl website and choose books from your reading band (I’ve added the website link in the list below). There is also a list of lots of useful websites that your parents can help you explore in your home learning pack.

I’ve spoken to most of you and your parents on the telephone and I know you are all doing your school work and having lots of fun too, which is fantastic!

Keep up the good work and keep well and safe!

Love from

Mrs Tisbury and Mrs Smith
