PE (afPE) Quality Mark with distinction

Quality Mark - Distinction (2)

Viewing PE so highly at Scole Primary we have applied for the Association for Physical Education (afPE) Quality Mark this academic year (2014-15) as we continue to provide a high quality curriculum PE and to receive further recognition for this. Martin Radmore, Head of Norfolk PE, visited the school in October 2014 to observe a PE lesson and to act as a validator for our application, which was 15,500 words in length!

We are very pleased to confirm that in November 2014 we were awarded the afPE Quality Mark with Distinction, only the fourth school in Norfolk with this honour. This award is  for ‘demonstrating outstanding commitment to improvement in Physical Education and Sport’ and is valid for three years. Our school name has been added to the roll of honour on the afpE website

We have also received a certificate to mark our achievement and a wonderful trophy!

In July 2014 Mrs Goldsmith also received her Level 3 Teaching and Learning in PE qualification and was also shocked to be awarded a Norfolk Award for Outstanding Contribution to PE and Sport! Have a look at the trophy and certificate in the trophy cabinet in the school corridor! She is now looking at progressing to her Level 5 qualification at some point soon.
