Gymnastics Trip 2016

Gymnastics – Spring Term 2016

All classes have been working on their gymnastics skills this term, including welcoming a visiting coach, Mrs Palmer from Spring Gymnastics (utilising our Sports Premium Funding), to work with Class 2 in their lessons.

A selected group of pupils from years 3,4 & 5 also has the amazing opportunity to spend a morning at the National Academy of Gymnastics at Attleborough. As well as receiving coaching from the staff at the Academy the pupils used the purpose built facilities and equipment. They worked in small groups and, after a warm up, rotated around 5 stations of activities covering vault, bars, beam, floor and the fast track. If you would like to look at the Academy’s facilities please visit www.tnag.co.uk.

Here are some of our photos. As you can see everyone had a great time and loved jumping in the foam pit!

We used a springboard to help with our vaulting.

We all had lots of chances to jump into the pit; running down the fast track, vaulting or racing a partner. The hardest bit was getting out!
