Dance in a day 2016

We welcomed Base Dance to the school in June to film a “dance in a day” video using the whole school community and our wonderful school and its grounds. This was an excellent way to celebrate another great year of sport and PE at school and use our Sports Premium Funding for a whole school project.

Each class worked with D and Laura, firstly choosing a location for the filming, a camera angle for the shots and a music choice. Then they learnt a brand new piece of choreography in the hall. Moving to their chosen location, some of which included the gazebo, the playground, class 4, kitchen, outside class 1 and the play equipment, they then danced, waved, smiled and were filmed from every different angle. It was great fun and everyone loved being involved as well as being able to dance all over the school. Class 4 even danced out of the kitchen hatch!

In the glorious sunshine we even got together as a whole school and were filmed “throwing some shapes!”

We are now all waiting with baited breath to see the finished version of our film which should be available shortly. Meanwhile have a look at some of our photos from an amazing day.
